Eppes Middle School/Oakmont Baptist Church--
October Project
Picnic Tables--- See David, Leon, Richard, Danny and others
Garden Spot --- See Carol and Myron

Oakmont Baptist Church teamed up with a teacher from Eppes Middle School to clean and refurbish the greenhouse at the school. A garden plot was also added, neatly tilled and bordered with wooden beams. Sidewalks were manicured and the whole interior of the grounds was given a good cleaning. Two new picnic tables were constructed and set in place by members of Oakmont. We have some great photos of the work which was Saturday, October 13.

Carol Foor is getting her tools ready!

Able and willing, that's Henry!

Oakmont Baptist Church, along with 11 other churches in the Pitt County area spent most of the day providing services such as the Eppes project. Many individuals and agencies received special assistance as a result of this annual event. It is part of the missions ministry with participating churches.

Mrs. Malgorzata Twarog, 8th grade science teacher was the Eppes teacher partner who worked with Oakmont partners for the clean up and refurbishing of the school grounds. She has some help sweeping the sidewalks from her son Henry.

Mrs. Melanie Boyer and her granddaughter worked hard that morning to prepare the greenhouse for Eppes students to use this fall and next spring.  Mrs. Twarog looks forward to ways she can use the greenhouse with her science students.
