Flat World Libraries™ are libraries that show evidence of understanding the global market place; competing for customers, resources and community connections; having work place cultures and processes that support continuous innovation and entrepreneurial development; and demonstrate visionary leadership that incorporates both "high touch" and "high tech" in allowing the library customer to shape and control their library experience to best meet their information needs.The end result is a meaningful library experience that is customizable to each individual community member served and makes a lasting impact in the community.
